Where’s Art – A Conversation about Photography Poetry and Psychoanalysis

Please join us for an afternoon of lively engagement through poetry, photographic images and discussion as we explore the creative process with our own artist and psychoanalyst Terrance McLarnan. (Wine and appetizers following the presentation.)

Sunday, April 29, 3:30-5:30pm

flyerSalons have a long history in the world of poets, writers and artists; this salon is a version of Gertrude Stein’s famous gatherings. In Terrance’s words, “In this salon I will show how my images and poems are remnants of encounters during ordinary life; these images reflect a melding of my artistic and psychoanalytic sensitivities. As I engage in poetic searches for words, for what is inarticulate, all the while the photographic is an agent for my visual imagination. When I become still, my unconscious alerts me to moments of aliveness – just beyond the periphery of my grasp; there are pictorial and word images to be found everywhere.”
