PINC Second Fridays – April
The Something of “Nothings”: Memoir and Poetry
Alice Jones MD, Discussant Paula Varsano PhD
Friday Apr 8, 6:30 PM – 8:30 PM
PINC 2nd Fridays
We are living within extraordinary times and existential questions. How do we experience small human joys while holding in mind our larger inequities, struggles, inevitable losses? In our work, language is one tool to reach another, to touch, understand, accompany and express states of being. Many of us also try to write of our analytic experiences. How do the private and collective intersect? Is it possible to describe the multi-layered narratives we exist inside of? As a poet and writer, Alice Jones tries to capture and play with moments of “nothings” based on her current memoir writings. Please join us for an evening of contemplation and movement through phrases and moments as we engage in dialog with Alice Jones and Paula Varsano.
