Margaret Zellner, PhD
This tele-seminar with Dr. Maggie Zellner will focus on the development of the embodied, emotional sense of self. We will read the work of Katerina Fotopoulou and Manos Tsakiris. It is their contention that the core self is relational and formed initially in the attachment relationship. We will discuss the implications of their work for psychoanalytic theory, and read commentaries from analytic theorists like Peter Fonagy and Mark Solms. NOTE: This class will be held at an office near Rockridge BART. For those unable to attend in person, there will be room for four people to attend by ZOOM. Dr Zellner will attend the first class in person.
