flyerThe 2020-21 South Bay Extended Study Series invites you to think about four different perspectives in contemporary psychoanalytic thought. We will be studying perverse states of mind, philosophical underpinnings of our analytic world, non-ego processes and dreams from a Jungian perspective and the use of the analyst’s subjectivity. These are diverse subjects which cumulatively impact the clinician’s capacity to seek deeper and more meaningful communication and generative change in treatment. Also woven into our Series will be references to current socio-political dilemmas that influence the clinician’s availability and impact in the analytic field.

Series opener, In Dark Times: Psychoanalytic Praxis as a Form of Resistance to Fascist Propaganda, will be held Saturday, August 22.

The opening event is included with series registration.
