Early Career Case Conference (San Francisco)

We invite clinicians who have completed graduate school training and are pre-licensure or up to five years post-licensure to join this conference, led by senior analysts. We will focus on case presentation, clinical discussion and community building. Readings relating to emerging clinical themes may be offered according to the interest of the participants and instructor. Cost is $225 for the year-long program, plus a nominal fee of $25 to become a Community Member of PINC. Community members receive a regular newsletter and discounted or free admission to PINC classes, lectures, and events that are open to the psychoanalytic community.

Past participants in the ECCC have found this year-long case conference to be an opportunity to get to know and net-work with other clinicians at similar stages of their career. It has also been described as a way to learn from their peers and also from experienced analysts who work with varying personal styles and within different theoretical frameworks.  The continuity of working together over a number of weeks offers time for the group to develop it’s capacity to think and work together to expand their clinical capacities.

Class size is limited to 10 participants. In addition to the  24 sessions, there is an introductory and a closing dinner at the home of one of the facilitators. We ask that you commit to attending all meetings (barring emergencies and unavoidable circumstances) so that an optimal work group can develop.
